COMMUNITY DAYS

We organise community days for people who would like to produce apple juice with their own apples. It is possible to bring your apples to the orchard so we can process your apples in to juice. Get in touch for information about prices and workflow.

Between 10AM and 2PM please. More dates will be added if there is enough demand.

We do ask that you check the ripeness of your apples before you bring them to us. Simply cut an apple in two and check the colour of the pips. Dark brown to black pips are a good indication that your apples are ripe. White to light brown pips suggest some ripening still needs to happen, meaning the flavours will not be as wholesome and rich as they could be.

If you have a mix of apples, as in eating and cooking apples, we also request that the proportion of cooking apples is kept to 20% maximum. As much as our knowledge and expertise has developed over the years we still struggle to make a palatable, well balanced juice from cooking apples. If it tastes tart when you eat it, it will be tart when you drink it…..
